Head Coach
Steve Borys was named Trojans Head Coach in February 2023. Steve joined the Weston coaching staff in 2019 and has served in multiple coaching roles including Offensive Coordinator, Special teams Coordinator, and Line Coach. The Trojans were Class M State Champions in 2019 and in 2021 set the all time rushing record behind Brad Barcelle who ran for 1,402 yards and 18 touchdowns. In 2022, the Trojans offense set the school passing record with Quarterback Nick Psichopaidas throwing for 1990 yards and 21 Touchdowns.
This is Steve’s second Head Coaching position. From 2003-2016, Steve rebuilt the program at Sleepy Hollow High School in New York. When Steve took over, Sleepy Hollow had not fielded a team for the previous three seasons. In his first season, he led the Horsemen to the playoffs and over his tenure led them to the playoffs in 10 out of his 14 seasons including Section runner ups in ‘04, ‘07, ‘09, and ‘12. He was recognized as Coach of the Year in ‘04 and ‘12.
During his playing career, Steve was named Honorable Mention All-American in 1995 and Team Captain at Fordham University. He also had a tryout with the New York Giants.
Steve has been a teacher at Eastchester High School for 25 years where he teaches Social studies and was a head track and wrestling coach. He is also an author and motivational speaker. His book, How to beat Stalin, Hitler and the Southern State Parkway was written to share his story and help individuals overcome life’s adversity and challenges while maintaining strong hope for the future.
Steve lives in Weston, CT. His wife Amee is a preschool director. His daughter Emma is currently a student at SUNY college of Environmental Science and Forestry and his son Peter is a 2023 graduate of Weston High School where he was a 4 year player, All-Conference selection and 2 time captain.
